Sexpo 2005 field report

Many months ago Singaporeans got very excited with the announcement of Sexpo, an exhibition on sex! The organizers said it was going to be an eye-opener, and the best part was, it was gahment-approved! Singapore is very strict on anything related to sex. Once you are 18 years old you are taught to be a soldier. You are taught how to shoot M16 rifle and throw grenade and other weapons of mass destruction, but you still cannot go and watch restricted movies because you are too young to learn about sex.

Singaporeans speculated! Would this be like the sexpo in Australia, with topless babes giving out brochures for sex aids? Would there be people in black leather with whips? No way!! This is Singapore. But still we were informed that this would be more daring than we thought!

So when the exhibition finally opened yesterday, my friend Otacon was eager to check it out. Finally Singapore is opening its doors and becoming less prudish! Now we have a cultural event to learn all about the most primal instincts! All for just the measly price of $15... the cost of 2 movie tickets.

The event was very massive.



It was loaded with lots of kinky stuff that you can buy in any sex shop.




The whole exhibition's focus was not on plain fucking, but fucking talking. There were all kinds of sex experts dressed in shirts and ties talking about healthy fucking and how to avoid getting fucking diseases.



The advertisers said there would be erotic dances! I drooled. But when I saw the potos I felt very sad.





This is the truth about sex in Singapore. Sex is good. Sex is fun. But sex is still strictly for the bedroom. Or car. Or toilet.
