National Day Parade obligatory show of military might

Every year the National Day parade includes an obligatory show of military might. The goal is to instill in every citizen that idea there is some capability present to defend the country.

On the other hand, what I as well as most of the participants see are very bored and tired people who would rather be somewhere else than suffering in the blazing sun.
